This year “Kitchen Academy” the UKs leading mobile cookery school, is running the workshops for children at the Food Academy in the Castle. They are putting on a mouth-watering series of workshops. Children can take part in the workshops for free on a first-come first-served basis. Make and taste some Welsh delights from Crempog to Cawl. You may even get a go on the smoothie bike too!

FINALS OF BEST SAUSAGE-MAKER IN MONMOUTHSHIRE COMPETITION
Sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH)
Five primary school teams have worked over the summer term to learn how to make sausages at Trealy Farm near Monmouth. Come and see your favourite Primary School team battle it out to win the coveted title! Cross Ash, Deri View, Magor, Trellech and Undy are in the final, but who will win the £400 prize for their school?
Judging will be by Rural Affairs Minister, Elin Jones AM and
Julie Barratt, Director of CIEH.

THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR: Sarah Adby leads this art session using Eric Carle’s beautiful pictures to inspire caterpillar puppets and butterfly masks, all made with recycled materials. 3 -10 yrs: children must be accompanied by an adult
