Go Fish – Phil Starmore and friends
Tickets: £10.00

Guided fishing for wild brown trout on the river Usk. PPA coach Phil Starmore will be on hand to iron out your casting and show different methods of fishing. Finish by smoking your catch on the riverbank. Phil will be joined by fellow fishing enthusiasts Mark Hix and Mitch Tonks. Wear appropriate clothing and wellies. You will need to bring fishing tackle and have a current rod licence. Places are limited so early booking is advised.

A Field Trip – Yun Hider
Tickets: £10.00

Foraging for wild foods is all about interacting with the environment. Join professional forager Yun Hider on a field trip and learn the what, where and when of foraging.

The trip will lead you through streams and ditches. The route, however, will be selected to enable the elderly and infirm to enjoy the experience, if occasionally participating from a distance. Assemble at 9.45 am at the TIC where you will be taken by minibus to the start of the walk. Wear good outdoor clothes and shoes.

Mushroom Foray – Sheila Spence
Tickets: £10.00

Sheila Spence, a keen field mycologist, regularly leads fungus forays throughout the Marches area, gives talks, and holds identification workshops for beginners. Sheila has been picking wild fungi since she was a child and has a wealth of experience in wild food of many kinds. She is a regular contributor to local radio and appeared recently on BBC Gardeners’ World. Check out the Marches Fungi website at www.herefordshire-fungi.org.uk

Assemble at 9.45am at the TIC where you will be taken by minibus to the start of the walk. Return approx 12.15pm. Please bring good outdoor clothes and shoes/boots.
