Australian Wine Dinner

Now in its ninth year, The Bell's Australian Wine Dinner is held in conjunction with Wine Australia. The evening kicks off with a reception featuring a tasting of delicious Aussie fizz and canapés; followed by a sitdown dinner with five courses and five complementary wines. William Hutchings of The Bell will be discussing each of the wines, talking about the vineyard it comes from and answering any questions.

The guest at The Bell's Big Sunday Lunch is Blanche Vaughan (ex-River Café) who'll be talking about her book Great British Food Revival. Head Chef Rupert Taylor will be using recipes by contributors Clarissa Dickson Wright, Gary Rhodes and James Martin, using the best of food from The Bell's organic kitchen garden. A 'fishy' evening in celebration of the fruits of the sea, prepared by head chef Gary Nugent and team. A five course meal, each dish accompanied by an appropriate wine. Wine merchant Richard Ballantyne (Ballantyne's Cardiff) will talk about how to match wines for different occasions and palates.

Michelin Star food, wonderful wines, and serious fun.Champagne and canapés on arrival. A seven-course gourmet menu by Executive Head Chef James Sommerin served at 8.00pm (with matching wines). For added intrigue no menus are presented. You guess the ingredients! But all will be revealed in due course. Informal seating at one large table with the wine-expert guest speaker. Diners will also receive a copy of the menu signed by James.
