Music in the Dome
London Afrobeat Collective – a dance music explosion that has been winning fans across the UK scene from DJ Craig Charles, to Dele Sosimi, to Bombay Bicycle Club. Heavy grooves and driving percussion, added with a crazy psychedelic twist!
Alejandro Toledo and the Magic Tombolinos are a multicultural 5-piece band based in London, known for their energetic rhythms, virtuosic melodic passages and extravagant performances. Their sound is characterized by their fusion of music genres, including elements of Balkan folk music.
Jazz Disasters – some real sweet old-time, good-time hits of the 20s, 30s and 40s that'll make you go weak at the knee, then just whip you up into a frenzy with the beat, bass and geetar swingin', clarinet screamin', and the sweetest trumpet you ever did hear.
Olion Byw is Lucy Rivers and Dan Lawrence, whose beautiful mix of fiddle, mandolin, guitar and voice lends a haunting slant to their Welsh folk material.
Little Rumba mix romantic bohemian tunes with witty lyrics, on violin, saxophone & guitar.
Lori Campbell has a bohemian exterior which belies an incredibly confident and assured voice which suggests an element of jazz influence; while her folk-pop songs are expertly fingerpicked or strummed on the ukulele.
