The Farmyard tells the real story of modern farming from the farmers themselves. We celebrate the diversity of British farming, by bringing you up close and personal to the people, and animals, that feed you. There will be live farm animals; a ‘farm shop’ area with exhibitors selling produce fresh from their farms, including Blodyn Aur – Welsh rapeseed oil, Grosmont Wood Dairy raw milk and The Seed Co-operative and each stall will have something you can taste, try, make or learn; the NFU’s Welsh debut of their new Discovery Barn featuring tractor driving, wooden cow milking and lots of fun educational games and fascinating facts to attract and delight kids – of all ages!
The ‘Farming Matters’ speaker’s tent returns with a lively programme of interesting and innovative talks that will inform and illuminate the key issues impacting farming today, as well as posing thought-provoking questions and solutions, about the future of food and the farming landscape post-Brexit. Each afternoon will culminate in a topical and provocative lively debate led by a panel of farmers, experts and innovators, to discuss the overarching themes of the day.
