Granny's Store Cupboard on Castle Meadows
Fiona Ford
A one and a half mile guided walk around the historic Castle Meadows on the edge of Abergavenny. Find out about the plants that Granny collected to make food, drink and medicines for her store cupboard as well as the importance of the meadows in the history of Abergavenny. No stiles, steps or steep slopes on this walk.

Mushroom Foray
Sheila Spence
Sheila Spence, a keen field mycologist, regularly leads fungus forays throughout the Marches area, gives talks, and holds identification workshops for beginners. Sheila has been picking wild fungi since she was a child and has a wealth of experience in wild food of many kinds. Check out the Marches Fungi website at www.herefordshire-fungi.org.uk. Minibus from TIC to the start of the walk. Please bring good outdoor clothes and shoes/boots.

Estuary Forage
Henry Ashby
A rare chance to explore wild estuary foods of the Severn and the Wye with experienced forager Henry Ashby. Henry, who has over 45 years' experience of foraging, supplies top local restaurants such as The Crown at Whitebroook and the Lido in Clifton. Expect to find sea spinach, samphire, sea blights, sea asters, scurvy grass, sea arrow grass, and orache. Assemble at 10.45 am at the TIC where you will be taken by minibus to the start of the tour. Please bring good outdoor clothes and shoes/boots.

Hedgerow Hike
A stroll of discovery around some of the hedgerows of Abergavenny with the author of The Hedgerow Handbook: Recipes, Remedies, Rituals. The hedgerow is a living, breathing piece of archaeology that has an epic story to tell as well as being a haven to wildlife and a fun source of free food. Find out what a treasure trove is hidden within the branches. Assemble at 1.45pm at the TIC for the start of the walk.
