If we didn’t have a ‘craft wine’ movement to rival that in beer and cider, what we had instead over the past decade or so was the extraordinary growth of natural wine, or ‘orange wine’: the result of pure fermented grape juice, helped along by as little intervention as possible by skilled winemakers. It’s wine, but not as you know it, and for the first time at Abergavenny, we’ve gathered growers and winemakers (Tom Carter and David Morris)and a merchant and importer (Joel Wright) to give us a masterclass in wine’s next big movement.
