THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT. Franco Taruschio, founder of The Walnut Tree Inn and universally admired chef, invites you to join him and Rachel Watson of the Abergavenny Baker School for a hands-on lesson in baking easy traditional Italian biscuits – Amaretti Sofflice and Biscotti al Rosemarino – and a quickly knocked up ‘bread’ Crescente, otherwise known as Ammazafame (kill the hunger) – a recipe from Le Marche. These are served with prosciutto, salami or concasse of tomatoes. Crescente to be eaten with a glass of sparkling wine sponsored by Mario Berzolla of Zonin UK. Biscuits can be eaten or taken home.
