With a background in new product development and future food trends, Gurdeep is not one to be bound by convention. In his new cookbook Mother Tongue he draws on his British and Indian heritage, as well as his knowledge of other cuisines, to create something original. He calls it the ‘third-culture cooking of the second generation’. Diana Henry calls him ‘a genius with flavour’.
Here’s Gurdeep on Saturday Kitchen (9 Sept):
Chef demonstrations in the Market Hall take place on the Robert Price Kitchens stage.
