Great British Bake Off viewers were devastated when the three-time Star Baker was unexpectedly evicted from the tent at the semi-final stage. Jürgen took it with characteristic good grace. He wears his achievements lightly. As well as a self-taught baker he is an IT specialist and a concert-level trombonist. And now he has written a cookbook: German Baking: Cakes, tarts, traybakes and breads from the Black Forest and beyond.
About ‘Meet The Author’: This series of events offer a chance to engage directly with award-winning writers about their recent work. The best of this year’s writing on food, cooking, nature, farming and the environment. Small number of tickets per event in the intimate setting of Abergavenny’s stunning library with a panoramic view of activities in the market hall. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine or small beer whilst listening to the conversation. There will be an opportunity to ask questions.
