Fiona Beckett

Fiona Beckett is an award-winning food and wine writer, one of the UK’s leading experts on food and drink matching, wine columnist for The Guardian and the author of 23 books on food, wine and beer.

She has been a regular contributor to many other national newspapers with weekly columns for The Times and the Daily Mail and to leading food, drink and lifestyle magazines including BBC Good Food, Country Living and Good Housekeeping. In 2002 she was voted Food Journalist of the Year by the British Guild of Food Writers and was recently shortlisted as the International Wine and Spirit Competition Communicator of the year.

She is currently a contributing editor to the wine magazine Decanter and wine writer for Four magazine.

Her books include Fiona Beckett’s Cheese Course (2009), Food, Wine & Friends and An Appetite for Ale (2007), Cooking with Wine (2005), How to Match Food and Wine (2002) and Eating and Drinking: an A-Z of Great Food & Drink Combinations (2000). She also gives classes and workshops on food and wine pairing.
