Pamela Mason is a public health nutritionist with a Masters Degree in food policy. She has a special interest in sustainable diets and food systems and in the contribution local food supply chains can make to sustainable diets. She is chair of the newly established Abergavenny Food Forum which has been set up to follow on from the EU agri-urban project in which Abergavenny was chosen as one of the 11 towns and cities with a remit to develop a local action plan around urban/rural linkages in food.
Pamela is also a member of the Abergavenny Just Food Group and vice-chair of the Vale of Usk Local Action Group. She is co-author with Professor Tim Lang from City University in London of a book entitled Sustainable Diets which was shortlisted for a Guild of Food Writers book award in 2018.
