Pete Lawrence

Pete Lawrence won the Guild of Food Writers’ ‘First Book Award’ in 2017 for his Allotment Cookbook: A journey through seasonal cooking from his veg plot but also a humorous insight into the minds and motives of the home-grower. By day, Pete is one of the UK’s most experienced producer of television food programmes.  He has worked with an impressive list of TV food talent – household names such as Michel Roux Jnr, Nigella Lawson, Nadiya Hussain, James Martin, The Hairy Bikers, Rachel Khoo, Lorraine Pascale, Brian Turner and many more. He also brought Nigel Slater to the BBC One audience with ‘Simple Suppers’ and most recently with his production company Hungry Gap Productions made the critically acclaimed ‘Nigel Slater’s Middle East’.
