Charlotte Pike

Charlotte is the author of five bestselling cookery books, including SMOKED, FERMENTED – shortlisted for the André Simon Award in January 2016 – and The Hungry Student Cookbook series, which won best series at the International Gourmand Awards in January 2014.

One of the UK’s leading Independent cookery teachers, she runs classes at cookery schools all over the UK, cookery demonstrations and private classes for numerous VIPs, and is also the Founder and Director of Field & Fork School food education social enterprise.

In addition, she runs a hugely popular catering company, Charlotte’s Kitchen, cooking for one of the most high profile client books in the business, and cooking for weddings and parties all over the UK and Europe. Charlotte has contributed to many cookery books and publications and occasionally broadcasts on food on BBC Radio – her recipes are simple, delicious and really work.

Always keen to share her knowledge, Charlotte’s writing aims to inform, clearly instruct and to inspire people to get cooking their own food from scratch. Living in the English countryside, she has a deep passion for local, seasonal ingredients, and recipes inspired by her extensive travels worldwide.
