A proud steward of his patch of Devon and long-time advocate of the environmental and sustainable benefits of low input farming, Peter founded Pipers Farm with his wife Henri in 1989.
Having grown up on a family farm in Kent, Peter headed off to New Zealand, Australia, Denmark and Yorkshire to discover the various different farming systems across the world. On his return he set about rearing chickens for a high-end supermarket chain. So appalled by the conditions in which he was producing the chickens, he abandoned industrial methods and founded Pipers Farm over three decades ago, as an antidote to industrial farming.
Partnering with a growing network of family-run farms in Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Cornwall, Peter has blended tradition and innovation at Pipers Farm, working in harmony with nature using regenerative farming practices to produce meat with the highest ethical and sustainability standards.
