Abergavenny Food Festival was created in 1999 by two local farmers in response to the BSE crisis then sweeping the country. With the outbreak of Foot and Mouth in 2001, the festival pushed harder to showcase both local produce and the passion of the people behind it. This year, in response to the ongoing uncertainty for farmers across the UK, we have increased the size and scope of our festival Farmyard. We want to tell the real story of farming today, celebrate the passion and diversity, and bring you up close and personal to the people, and produce that feeds you.
Whether you want to discover what it really means to be a farmer in 2019, or if you’re a farmer wanting to engage with others in the industry, our Farmyard is the place to be this September.
Full programme coming soon.
