Sama, Sama – Julie Lin

Julie is a chef of Malaysian heritage who grew up in Glasgow. Her choice of title for her debut book – Sama Sama is the Malay way of saying ‘you’re welcome’ – reflects the spirit of her cooking and personality. It’s all about comfort, warmth and welcome. She won Scottish Restaurant of the Year for her restaurant Gaga, and last year won Influencer of the Year at the Golden Chopsticks Awards which celebrate South and East Asian food in the UK. She has made regular appearances on Saturday Kitchen and the hugely popular Netflix series Somebody Feed Phil. Julie’s star is rising fast.
