Welcome to the New Shape of the Abergavenny Food Festival 2026

Saturday 19th & 20th September 2026.

We wanted to let you know that applications are NOW open to trade at the Abergavenny Food Festival.  We’ve condensed and intensified the flavour of the festival for this year.

This year, the festival will feature four carefully curated areas, each designed to create a vibrant and welcoming space across the site. By carefully curating the stallholder lineup and refining the footprint, we’re creating an environment that feels more open and engaging, where visitors can spend meaningful time discovering each stall and connecting with the people behind it. We believe this focused format will encourage stronger sales and a richer, more memorable experience for everyone.

Market Hall

Now dedicated entirely to stalls, the Market Hall will showcase a wealth of exceptional ingredients and produce from across Wales and beyond—an abundant celebration of makers, growers and artisans.

Food Stories Tent – Upper Brewery Yard

Producers, traders and chefs will share their tales in the Food Stories Tent, bringing passion and provenance to life. Alongside them, you’ll find wine and cheese stalls, plus a small number of carefully selected street food traders.

Lower Brewery Yard

Our Music Tent takes centre stage here, surrounded by beers, ciders and a vibrant mix of street food and refreshing drinks—perfect for lingering, listening and soaking up the festival atmosphere.

The Castle

Set against the iconic backdrop of Abergavenny Castle, this area brings together the expanded Cooking over Fire stage, the new Cooking the Books bookshop, two debate venues, and the Kids Cookery School. You’ll also discover more outstanding street food traders, alongside quality kitchen equipment and beautiful tableware stalls.

In response to feedback from visitors who are eager to sample as many flavours as possible during the festival, we’re encouraging an increase in tasting opportunities across all areas this year.

We hope you’re keen to join us and help us cook up a storm in 2026.

The deadline for applications is midday Friday 27th March 2026.

You must make, sell or produce food or drink or related items such as cookware or serve ware, with a food hygiene rating of 4* or above (if applicable to your business), to be eligible.

A Selection Panel will consider all eligible applications and make selections based on the 3 main criteria of ‘taste, quality and sustainability‘. Whilst preference is made for local, Welsh and small producers who also meet the criteria, this is not a pre-requisite for selection.

Selections and notifications will be made by the 24th of April 2026.

Please read the Terms and Conditions document below fully before applying. Details of 2026 pitch fees and rate cards are included in this PDF and on the online application form.

If you are interested in any sponsorship opportunities, please contact andy@abergavennyfoodfestvial.com to discuss further.

Many thanks and best of luck with your application.
