Mouth-watering Markets

It wouldn’t be Christmas without the opportunity to warm yourself with a mug of something spiced whilst sharing great food with loved ones. Next month sees the opening of our celebrated Christmas Fair, where you’ll be spoilt for choice with our delicious eats and festive treats.

Join us on Sunday 10th December in our sparkling markets that will be replete with mulled wine, delightful delicacies and gourmet gifts – our stunning range of stalls will be sure to answer any feasting needs!

Welsh wonders

From beautifully crafted beers, imaginative bakes and succulent meats, over half of our stallholders are Welsh and will be bringing the best of Wales for you to enjoy. Each Welsh stall will be easily recognisable, proudly displaying the Welsh dragon. Maybe you’re looking to pick up your Christmas goose? You’ll find Madgett’s on hand with traditionally reared geese and ducks. And for the perfect gift, don’t forget to visit The Old Board Company for rustic food boards and homewares. Each piece is handmade using locally sourced indigenous timber. With so many wonderful Welsh producers attending there’s too many to mention! Keep an eye out for our Welsh dragons.

Something a bit different!

Looking for something different? We’ve got fun treats hidden in our markets this Christmas! Stop by Cottage Sweets for out-of-the-ordinary marshmallows where you’ll find lemon, coconut, raspberry and coffee flavours, amongst many more. Creating unique and delicious cakes and cupcakes in a range of quirky styles and flavours, you’ll find a showstopper at Emily’s Kitchen. Look out for The Gourmet Gardner – offering incredible tarts and salads all made at their plant nursery and productive kitchen garden, where they grow edibles, medicinal herbs, cottage garden plants and cut flowers – truly scrumptious.

Created to delight your taste buds and made from all-natural products, Womersley Fruit and Herb Vinegars are the flavour of the season in the mixology world! Give your Christmas cocktails some zing by mixing their Raspberry Vinegar in a glass of Champagne or Prosecco.

Sweet dreams are made of cheese!

Create an impressive cheese board to wow your guests. Award winning artisans of traditional Caerffili and modern Welsh cheese, Caws Cenarth will be here with their classic Caerffili as well as garlic and herb, and smoked varieties. Our neighbours from the World Heritage site of Blaenafon will be bringing their incredible flavours to share. Try their Pwll Mawr Chedder which is matured 300 feet below ground at the bottom of the Big Pit mine shaft. You can also sniff out Godminster, home of delicious vintage organic cheddar, handmade brie, gourmet crackers, tangy chutney, infused vodka spirit and more. And if that’s not enough, La Cave a Fromage will be putting on a magnificent spread of farmhouse and artisan cheese from the UK and Europe as well as cheese they mature themselves.

Chin-chin

Whether you’re looking for a refreshing non-alcoholic tipple or something with a bit more kick, our selection of drink stalls will keep every taste happily sated. Add seasonal spirit to your gin and tonics this Christmas with British Cassis. This rich, fruity liqueur hails from the rolling fields of Herefordshire. Mix your chosen gin with a dash of British Cassis, some lime juice and sugar syrup, and you have the British Bramble, perfect for this party season. Looking for gin? You’ll find Sibling Distillery, Eccentric Gin and Tipsy Fruit Gin within our markets, as well as Apple County Cider and Gwatkin Cider where you can purchase warming mulled cider to enjoy as you peruse the fair and surrounding festivities.
